As a Mercedes-Benz employee, you’ll receive preferred rates on a variety of Medcan services. This includes the Annual Health Assessment, which goes deeper and broader than a standard annual physical. It helps you identify risk areas and increases the opportunity for early detection of significant health concerns, such as cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.   

This evidence-based, physician-led analysis includes up to 15 screening stations and tests for over 100 biomarkers, leveraging the latest in technology and clinical innovation. It provides a comprehensive picture of your health and wellness with same-day results, insights, and personalized recommendations.

A thorough physician exam and extensive evaluations by our health professionals, including a registered dietitian, fitness expert, nurse, imaging technician, and mental health professional. You can experience gender and age-specific tests as applicable, including mammogram, cervical cancer screening, and prostate exam.

An extensive physician-led evaluation

Comprehensive blood and urine testing to evaluate a range of biomarkers including those associated with heart disease, diabetes, kidney function, liver health and thyroid function. Analysis is completed by our in-house laboratory with same day results. 

Bloodwork and urinalysis

Completing an abdominal ultrasound to assess the health of your vital organs, including liver, kidneys, and gallbladder, with imaging results reviewed in real-time by our radiologists. Bone mineral density testing and mammogram are performed as applicable. For those in our Toronto clinic, x-rays can be conducted upon physician request to assess lung health or other potential concerns. 

Ultrasound and imaging

Gaining detailed insights into your cardiovascular health and potential risks with advanced biomarker testing including Lipoprotein A (Lp(a)), Apolipoprotein B (ApoB) and high sensitivity Troponin (hs-Troponin). Lp(a) measures a genetically determined lipoprotein linked to increased risk of heart disease and stroke, while ApoB offers a more precise predictor of cardiovascular risk than typical cholesterol tests. For those over 35, the hs-Troponin test helps predict the risk of heart attack or other cardiovascular events, with significantly elevated levels signaling a need for urgent medical attention.

Advanced heart health testing

Assessing your hearing and vision which are important factors to your wellbeing and quality of life. Includes a general hearing test and visual acuity assessment which evaluates your ability to see objects and text at various distances.

Hearing and vision tests

Measuring your lung capacity and checking your airway for any restrictions and abnormalities. If required, a chest x-ray can be provided the same day (in our Toronto clinic). 

Respiratory function test

Fitness, muscle and joint testing to assess musculoskeletal integrity and strength. This helps identify potential issues early and supports timely intervention - helping prevent injury, improve mobility, and ensure optimal muscle and joint function.

Completing a real-time interactive digital dietary evaluation that uses pattern recognition to reveal your diet quality, type, and estimated nutrient intake. Based on your responses, you will receive tailored advice to help you reach your health goals. Participation in this assessment is optional.

Dietary review

Consulting with a mental health professional who will assess your emotional wellbeing, stressors affecting mental health, and cognitive function as needed. This will give you an opportunity to voice any concerns and receive resources, support, and guidance with suggestions for potential next steps. This is an optional assessment.

Emotional wellbeing assessment

Ensuring your full immunization history is up to date, with vaccines administered on-site. 

Vaccination review

As part of your physician-led assessment, you will visit up to 15 stations in a single day appointment at our clinic. You will meet with a range of trusted experts, all in one place, ensuring that your time is used as efficiently as possible. Our priority is giving you an optimal, seamless experience that suits your busy schedule and prioritizes gaining the key health insights you need to live well, for life.
