What should you ask your doctor at your next checkup?

Preventive care has changed. Learn how to make the most of your next checkup, including the questions to ask and screenings to consider

Medcan’s Dr. Scott Gledhill joined hosts Rick and Faiza on Breakfast Television to answer this question.

While there was once a time when your doctor’s office might call to remind you about your annual physical, today, preventive care looks a little different.

As Canadian Task Force on Preventative Health recommendations evolved, routine physicals for healthy adults were replaced with a personalized approach.

Nowadays, preventive screening remains important, but it is done based on age, sex, medical history, and risk profile.

That makes it more important than ever to understand your risks, know what tests may be right for you, and build a strong relationship with your physician.

Watch the segment on the Breakfast Television site to learn what tests and questions should be on your radar and when.
